The bedroom is finally painted! It’s nowhere near finished but it is clean and no longer smelly. The color is Benjamin Moore Weekend Getaway. The drapes are called Tan Medallion from Target and the rug also from Target – Modern Botanicals. At the foot of the bed you can see the trunk I got from the estate sale over on Congress Ave last week. Right now its full of dirty laundry because the washing machine is not working so well.
It certainly has a long ways to go, but it is progress none-the-less. Today I’m going to try to pick up a lamp at the thrift store for the bedside table and the dresser and I think I’d like to replace the bedspread, bed and the dresser when I find the right pieces at the right prices, but for now things are looking up.
There are before pictures floating around somewhere for this room so I will post them when I find them.
So far for this room I spent about:
60.00 on paint
50.00 for curtians
25.00 for the curtian rod
12.00 for the curtian clips
32.50 for the trunk
10.00 replacement cords for window weight repair
so thats only 189.50 for a major improvement
