The bungalow was popular in America between 1900 and 1930. Common features of the bungalow usually were usually low-pitch roof lines on a gabled or hipped roof, deeply overhanging eaves, exposed rafters or decorative brackets under the eaves and a front porch.These home were built as part of the Arts & Crafts Movement where followers focused on quality of construction and optimal use of space. As a result bungalows often feature natural woodwork and built in cabinetry.
